See Kakadu through your children's eyes. Children notice things adults often overlook — an unusual insect, a lizard disappearing into the rocks, a tiny flower or an interesting track in the sand. Our family bushwalks give children time to explore these discoveries while experiencing the spectacular landscapes, wildlife, waterfalls and swimming holes of Kakadu. These are genuine multi-day bushwalks, not sightseeing tours by vehicle. Families walk and camp together in the wilderness, away from roads and campgrounds, accompanied by an experienced guide who knows the country well. Depending on their experience and fitness, children from around 10–12 can often manage our standard seven-day treks. Younger children need a slower pace, shorter walking days and plenty of time for breaks, exploring and swimming. We have developed special family walks for younger children, with different trips offered at different times of year and in different parts of Kakadu. We believe families should have the opportunity to share these experiences, so children receive discounts of up to 50%.
