From humble beginnings on the outskirts of Corowa in 1877, the philosophy of putting the quality of fruit first has ensured that McWilliam’s continues to be one of Australia’s most popular, respected and iconic wineries. Come and visit the Riverina's first winery at their iconic ‘big barrel’ cellar door in Hanwood. The McWilliam's pioneered the wine region back in 1913 when John James (J.J.) McWilliam brought vine cuttings to the area and established the Hanwood site. A statue of J.J. takes pride of place at the front of their cellar door in honour of his vision and hard work.
