King Island Brewhouse

Nestled between Currie and Grassy in the heart of King Island’s fertile pastures, this family-owned and operated brewery crafts traditional and experimental brews for local tastes. Open Thursday to Sunday afternoons King Island Brewery offers a simple snack food that matches the breweries ‘core range’ of traditional style beers, refreshing ginger ale, or a fresh-hopped beer made from locally grown and foraged hops. Friday night is Pizza night! Come along on a Friday night to get a piping hot wood-fired pizza, but best to call ahead to check availability, so you don't miss out. Local artists can often be found playing on the deck and snacks and cheese platters are available. Visiting with your own food is also welcome. It’s a perfect place to stop and have a break on your tour around the island, especially on those windswept days. Once on the island please call ahead to book a table. Tours and tastings are also available in the onsite taproom.
