Bendooley Estate

Once a hayshed, the iconic Book Barn forms the centrepiece of the historic Bendooley Estate. Surrounded by picturesque paddocks, this unique building houses thousands of new, second-hand, rare and antiquarian books, and it features exposed timber beams, cathedral ceilings and huge, rustic iron pendant lights. Apart from being an atmospheric bookshop, the barn is home to the acclaimed Bendooley Estate Restaurant and Cellar Door. After you finish browsing the shelves, take a seat in front of the enormous stone fireplace and enjoy lunch prepared by their talented chefs. You can drop by any time for a coffee and treat, or to sample some of their acclaimed wines. For weddings and special events, the bookshelves are swiftly rolled away, transforming the barn into a magical space. Rustic yet refined, the barn also features a beautifully appointed bridal parlour, dance floor and modern bathroom facilities.
