The Great Ocean Road, a 243km scenic drive just an hour and a half from Melbourne, offers everything you could hope for in an Australian road trip: picturesque coastline, rugged cliffs, white sand beaches, and ancient rainforests. Beginning at Surf Coast Bay, the drive features roaring waves on one side and lush mountains on the other. You’ll explore the seaside town of Lorne, known for its café and surf culture, and spot native birds and koalas in Kennett River. A lunch stop at Apollo Bay, famous for its seafood, sits at the rainforest's edge. Afterward, you'll wind through Maits Rest Rainforest, one of the oldest rainforests, and walk among towering mountain ash trees. Your final stop is the Twelve Apostles, towering limestone structures along the coast, offering stunning views over Loch Ard Gorge. After a day of adventures, we’ll enjoy a relaxing three-hour drive back to Melbourne.
