Meeting the traditional land owners with welcome to country, learn one of the many Dreamtime stories of the Cassowary, their deep interconnection to the environment, sacred trees, bush medicines and sand art. Exploring the natural ecosystem in the wet tropics rainforest, engage in an interpretive guided walk through the biodiverse rainforest, identifying the range of species of flora and fauna. Take the opportunity to immerse fully in the rainforest surrounds for a swim in stunning waterfalls and swimming holes. Traversing over the Mourilyan range that rolls into the coastline of this hidden gem Etty Bay. Enjoy some beach time, remove the shoes and feel the sand between the toes. Encounter a magical moment, if the opportunity prevails, to see the striking Cassowary wandering along the beach. Learn the characteristics and behaviours of the ancient bird. Includes lunch, a selection of freshly prepared sandwiches, tropical fruit platter and cold drink. Afternoon Tea including tea or coffee served with local baked cake or slice.
