The lakes and dams of the Snowies offer some of the best trout fishing, not just in Australia, but the world. These lakes and dams throughout Kosciuszko National Park can be accessed in a custom-built powerboat that is specifically set up for fly fishing. Tom's Outdoors Guide Services specialises in Lake Eucumbene and Talbingo Dam. These lakes are home to numbers of rainbow and brown trout, as well as some of the biggest trout in Australia. Fish a variety of methods on the lakes including polaroiding, stripping streamers on sinking lines, nymphing and of course dry fly fishing. Drift with the wind ‘loch’ style or hunt down fish on the edges. There is also the option to get out on the bank to take advantage of bays that provide exciting shallow-water fishing.
