The Reef Encounter, Australia’s only floating hotel, is situated on the spectacular Great Barrier Reef off the coast of Cairns and offers guests a unique opportunity to enjoy the ultimate reef experience as briefly or for as long as they want. The vessel is a 35-metre catamaran that is designed for the utmost stability and comfort at sea. Air-conditioned throughout, Reef Encounter features spacious decks as well as roomy dining and recreation areas to dine and relax in. All cabins onboard Reef Encounter have private ensuites and ocean views. The friendly onboard staff and experienced dive crew are there to help make Reef Encounter the ultimate Great Barrier Reef adventure. They even have an onboard spa, dive courses for beginners and advanced and a sun deck!

Pricing notes

Prices start at $585 which is for a 2 day, 1 night Snorkel Adventure. Additional nights, Scuba Diving, Dive Courses and other extras can be added. We also have a VIP package called Top Deck Club which come with even more extras including a private valet and snorkel/ dive guide.
