Wilsons Prom and Penguins

Wilson’s Promontory is the southernmost tip of mainland Australia and the most scenic and prized National Park in Victoria. This private day tour will provide background about the original endeavours to create the park, as you journey through the Isthmus to see the stunning views of the mountains, forest and pristine beaches that ‘The Prom’ has to offer. Walk through varying forests and fern gullies to the peak of Mt. Bishop for excellent views of eastern coastline and a spectacular picnic lunch spot. Enjoy the Squeaky Beach, renowned for its silicon-based sand that squeaks as you walk along it. Head to Tidal River or the airstrip, where Kangaroos, Emus and Wombats are found in plentiful numbers – the perfect place to see our native fauna in their natural setting. In the afternoon, we drive through the scenic dairy farmlands to Phillip Island, home to The Nobbies and Seal Rocks. Walk along the boardwalk viewing penguin burrows and the dramatic coastline. The day ends with the upgraded Penguins Plus experience at the Penguin Parade, an intimate view of the penguins as they waddle up the beach in search of their burrows. It is a sight that is nothing less than mesmerising!
