Fly fishing in the far north varies from chasing jungle perch in the mountains to site casting on the flats on a tropical island. For the southern trout anglers chasing jungle perch and sooty grunter in a rainforest environment is a great way to escape the cold. The rivers/estuary systems can provide plenty of fun with barramundi and mangrove jack, with plenty of surface bites. If the weather permits you'll be on the flats with a range of species to site cast including permit, tusk fish and trevally. The giant barramundi in Lake Tinaroo can also be caught on fly. Full and half day tours available, hotel pick-up/drop off lunch, snacks and drinks provided. Quality fishing gear and tackle supplied, private groups only, two persons maximum with professional experienced local sport fishing guide. Fishing from a purpose built 4.8 metre sport fishing boat fitted with latest electronics.
