In times past, the Yarra Valley was best known for its famous vineyards. But this is changing as more and more golf courses are appearing on the Yarra Valley map. Courses such as Eastern Golf Club, Gardiners Run, Yearing Meadows have popped up in the region over the last few years and being located only 45 minutes northeast of Melbourne makes this a very attractive region for golf. A further 20 minutes down the road lies the RACV Country Club at Healesville. This members only golf club (with limited access provided through GOLFSelect) is a fun test of golf. The course has been redesigned by Michael Clayton (Barnbougle Dunes architect). Over time, this region will become one of the main golfing regions of Victoria and, when combined, with other activities including ballooning, winery tours, fine dining and walking make it the ideal getaway.
