Grenache and Gourmet: Orbis Open Cellar

Set amongst the vines in McLaren Vale, the Orbis Vineyard Tasting Room is a chance to step behind the label and explore wines where they're grown and made. The small team — the same team who work in the vineyard and winery throughout the season — will be pouring the wines and sharing the stories behind each bottle. Guests will be guided through a curated tasting of both classic McLaren Vale wines and alternative, small-batch releases showcasing the experimental and site-driven side of Orbis. A special focus of the tasting will be Grenache, with guests able to explore three different expressions of the variety including the first-ever release of varietal Grenache, the 2025 Grenache Rosé, and the 2024 Tempranillo Grenache blend. The cellar will also be opened for exclusive barrel tastings of the 2026 Grenache. Expect a relaxed atmosphere, beautiful vineyard views, and wines rarely poured outside their inner circle. This is an intimate and highly limited experience designed for curious wine lovers wanting something a little different from the usual cellar door visit. Families are very welcome.
