Festival Theatre

If you're not already familiar with the iconic Festival Theatre, it is one of South Australia's most prestigious performing arts venues. Throughout the year, it hosts a wide range of major performances and festivals and is the proud home of the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra, State Opera South Australia, The Australian Ballet, and other leading companies. With a seating capacity of nearly 2,000 across three levels, the Festival Theatre is Adelaide's largest proscenium arch theatre. It offers an unparalleled venue for hire, ideal for events where only the finest setting will suffice. Within the same building, you'll also find our Banquet Room and new restaurant, Angry Penguin, both offering beautiful views of the River Torrens (Karrawirra Pari) and Elder Park.
