Milparinka Day Trip to Cameron Corner

From Milparinka head west along Hawker Gate Road to the Waka Road, follow it through to the Tibooburra-Cameron Corner Road, then west again toward Cameron Corner. Stop off at Fort Grey another of Sturt’s camps) to view the interpretive signage and Lake Pinaroo. Learn about the Wild Deserts Endangered Species project. Wire sculptures of three of the endangered mammals being re-introduced to the area are located at Fort Grey and nearby Cameron Corner. Visit the corner post defined by John Brewer Cameron in 1880 and have a leisurely lunch at the Cameron Corner Store before heading back to Milparinka via the Cameron Corner Road and the Silver City Highway.
