Description

Port Broughton Ships Anchor is dedicated to the pioneers of Port Broughton on the occasion of the centenary celebrations 1871-1971. This Anchor is an original historic ship anchor that was recovered from the Port Broughton shipping channel. You will find the Anchor situated on the Port Broughton foreshore in front of the jetty. Made from heavy steel the anchor would have originated from a significant vessel that would have used the port for shipping grain and supplies. The origin of the anchor is unknown.
