The Churn Room

The Churn Room is a unique store and gallery located in the old Dayboro Butter Factory. It features artisans who complement each other with a shared mission for sustainable and ethical making. Situated on the main street of Dayboro, an hour northwest of Brisbane, and surrounded by a number of cafes and eateries for the perfect day trip. The Churn Room is home to multi faceted artisans who embrace a spirit of creative adventure. A dynamic destination for visitors to directly engage with and support their creative community, the store showcases genuinely hand-crafted quality goods for practical and sustainable living. The Mezzanine, with it's high ceilings and historic industrial feel, hosts exhibitions for artists across the greater Brisbane region. The Little Room - one of the original butter factory cold rooms - is a more intimate gallery space for works that require up close viewing. Both spaces welcome you to engage in an entirely different way to a traditional gallery. The exhibiting artists are often onsite during their exhibitions. The Churn Room also offers a creative workshop programme connecting you with creative skills and craftsmanship. The workshop space located in the upstairs mezzanine area, overlooking the ground floor store. High ceilings and large original windows flood the space with natural light.
