Evercreech Forest Reserve - Great Short Walk

One of the 60 Great Short Walks of Tasmania. ​The short and easy ‘White Knights’ walk takes you through a beautiful forest to the magnificent white gums of Evercreech. These giants of the Eucalyptus viminalis species are the tallest of their type in Australia, and reach over 90m in height. A 20-30 minute loop walk passes beneath the massive trees before climbing up a hill to give you a more elevated view. For those wanting to stay longer, there’s the option of walking to Evercreech Falls near the headwaters of the South Esk River. There are very good picnic facilities, including a large undercover shelter, tables and barbecues. Grade - 2 Distance - 1km Surface Type - Hardened or compacted surface
