The Shearing Shed was once a busy shed shearing 100's of merino sheep. Now renovated with a bar, fireplace, deck and beautiful grand piano The Shearing Shed offers a unique venue for special events and weddings. Each year The Shearing Shed holds major festivals for Kangaroo Island. They host monthly visiting musicians, Country Arts SA productions, food&wine nights and much more. The Shearing Shed is home to the newest Kangaroo Island beer, Grasshopper Brewing. A delicious and unique artisan beer made with Kangaroo Island produce. People are welcome to hire The Shearing Shed for private functions. Chairs, tables, cutlery and glasses are all available or you can hire from some of the best companies on Kangaroo Island. The Shearing Shed also has two farm stays close by on Eleanor Downs, catering for up to 18 guests. Set on Eleanor Downs with a view over the rolling farm paddocks The Shearing Shed is one of a kind.
