Charteris Wines

For the first time, visitors to the Hunter Valley will be able to taste the Trans-Tasman ventures of critically acclaimed winemaker PJ Charteris from a single location, with the opening of Charteris Wine Room in Pokolbin. Charteris Wine Room is situated in the heart of Pokolbin, at Peppers Creek Village. Chrissi and PJ chose the Pokolbin location largely because the small, yet close-knit community has been their home for 20 years. “This building was part of the original winery at Peppers Creek, we love that it’s also part of the history of the Hunter” adds PJ. In the relaxed setting, guests are offered three tasting experiences from the full Charteris range. They might also choose to spend some extra time in Peppers Creek Village, where there are several specialty stores and cellar doors, as well as Cafe Enzo, where a Euro-inspired menu is created using local, seasonal produce.
