The Easy Way Walk, Hat Head

Distance: 5 kilometre Difficulty: Easy Starting from the footbridge in Hat Head, walk south across it, and keeping right, head up towards The Gap. About 50 metres after the end of the bridge, turn right into a path. Follow the path at the back of houses to Kinchela Street. Turn right and down towards the creek. Follow the path along the edge of the creek for 1.7 kilometres to the traffic bridge on Hat Head Road. Cross the bridge, then cross the road leading into the village and, going straight ahead through Les Dunford Road, follow the unsealed track to the beach. Turn right and walk along the beach for about 1.5 kilometres to the mouth of Korogoro Creek. Turn right and right again back into the parking area at the Holiday Park. At the halfway point of this walk, near the traffic bridge, there is a reserve on the right with a picnic table. A good place to take a break.
