Waterloo Plain Environmental Park

This man-made lake has a central island for the protection of birdlife. The park area has exercise stations, picnic tables and offers free camping for campers, caravans and RV's. Pitch your tent amongst 11 hectares of parkland hugging the water lily-clad lake. Well known for its birdlife, Waterloo Plain is a popular wetlands for Twitchers to relax and enjoy birdwatching. Keep an eye out for the white-necked heron, rainbow bee-eater, whistling kite and the shining bronze cuckoos. The area also offers a self-guided heritage trail through the park, complete with walkways and bridges.
