Hazel - Australian Grill

An Australian Grill on Flinders Lane with flavour crafted by fire, smoke and seasonality. Honest provenance and a new rendition of tradition, with an in-house butchery and dry-aging program, hot smoker and wood oven. Dine at the bar or slip into a banquette and stay a while to taste the best of local produce and Australian fare. Located in the historic Richard Allen building on Flinders Lane, the design combines a pared-back aesthetic with heritage features such as soaring ceilings and exposed brickwork. Split over two levels, Hazel has two dining spaces, with upstairs featuring an open kitchen and wood-fired oven, while downstairs offers a warm welcome to casual diners with a centrepiece bar, soft lighting and views onto the vibrant lane. Dishes informed by the land, trees and seas change with the seasons and tides, sourced from small-scale, ethical producers. As much as possible is sourced directly from The Mulberry Group's not for profit regenerative farm, Common Ground Project. 10% of profits from the entire group is donated back to the Farm to support their social initiatives. In particular, their Staying Grounded Program which supports training and employment pathways in farming and hospitality for people facing disadvantage in the Geelong region.
