Milich's Landing and Daisy Bates Reserve

Milich Road, Pyap, South Australia, Australia, 5333 Arrow
Pioneering midwife Ernstine Pauline Milich helped deliver more than 200 babies in the 1900s, including 14 of her own children. A memorial stands at the landing to honour her work in local medicine. The Landing was previously named after journalist Daisy Bates, who was living at Pyap in the 1930s when she wrote her book The Passing of the Aborigines. Her old camp site is marked with a plaque and the area is known as Daisy Bates Reserve.
