Delvene Cockatoo-Collins Art

Located on North Stradbroke Island, Quandamooka Country is the art studio and retail store of Delvene Cockatoo-Collins. As an independent First Nations artist, Delvene handprints and naturally dyes the stories given to her by her mother and grandmother onto linen homewares and clothing. Visitors can hear these stories and purchase these individually handprinted homewares, clothing, as well as body adornments and original artwork. Open daily and by appointment Delvene’s retail store is within walking distance from the boat which arrives in Dunwich. Also on offer is a once-weekly walking tour and workshop offering. Delvene is the designer of the 2018 Gold Coast Commonwealth Games Medals and presenters outfits, and created the ‘Eugaries’ public artworks at Mulumba - Point Lookout also on North Stradbroke Island.
