Douglas Vale Historic Homestead and Vineyard

Welcome to a unique experience within Australia! A heritage museum and working vineyard run totally by volunteers. Drop in through the stately bamboo. Enjoy a free tour of the 1862 homestead with its eclectic artefacts. Explore the original outbuildings. Available for a free tasting and purchase exclusively at the cellar door, are two white wines, a rose, two reds and their famous Portabella. The Portabella is grown from 150-year-old Isabella wine stock. Bring a picnic or enjoy one of their cheese platters. Wander the three hectares of grounds and discover their exotic plants. An orchard and vegetable garden also highlight the lifestyle of the times. Wedding and function bookings are available.
