Avoca Lake

Nestled between the coastal settlements of North Avoca and Avoca Beach, Avoca Lake is an intermittently closed estuarial lagoon, catering to a variety of recreational activities. Located in the Central Coast region of NSW, Avoca is only a 1.5 hour trip from Sydney, making it the idyllic day trip from the city. There is a large island in the middle and many bays to explore the coastal wetlands and a fisherman’s paradise, with catches including bream, whiting, flathead, estuarial perch and the elusive mangrove jack.
