Grannys Flat Camping Area

Situated on the Jamieson River, Grannys Flat offers well maintained grassy campsites surrounded by beautiful native forest. The site is suitable for all camping types with various sized areas which are predominantly flat. The stretch of river adjoining the camping ground offers a great spot to cool off during the summer months. Facilities include toilets, picnic tables and fire pits. This site can become busy in the warmer months with avid outdoor adventurers. Mitchell's Bridle Trail, a 24 kilometre walking track and horse riding trail, starts from here and follows the Jamieson River to Mitchell's Flat. Grannys Flat is subject to seasonal closure during the winter periods. Closure dates are the Thursday after King's Birthday (June) – the Thursday before Melbourne Cup (October) inclusive.
