No visit to Kalgoorlie is complete without a visit to Hannans North Tourist Mine, where you will experience a vibrant mix of gold rush history and modern-day mining. Experience life as a prospector in an 1800s camp and explore the original 1920s gold room. Grab a kip and try your luck at Two-Up. See the newest exhibit opened this year: the Gold Stealing Detection Unit and learn about the tales and fails of gold thieves. Hannans North Tourist Mine has a great souvenir shop, as well as barbeque facilities. The museum is animal-free but free dog pens are available. No need to book a tour, come on the day and the friendly staff will assist you.
