Clinchs Mill

Gregory Road, Greenough, Western Australia, Australia, 6532 Arrow
Clinch's Mill is a splendid heritage building that was constructed in 1859. In its heyday, the mill was an important supplier of flour to the Murchison gold fields. While much of the building is in ruins and is not open to the public, it offers an exceptional photographic opportunity. Situated just outside of the historic town of Greenough, it can be seen from the roadside of the Brand Highway. Take the Greenough/Walkaway Heritage Trail which includes a visit to Clinch's Mill. The trail includes 36 historic buildings such as the ruins of Wesley Church, Pioneer Cemetery, the Hampton Arms Inn and Gray's Store which was built by convicts in the 1860s. Claimed to be the best preserved 19th-century town, Greenough is not to be missed. With more than 30 historic sites you will need to include at least a full day in your itinerary. Greenough is a four-hour drive north of Perth and just south of Geraldton.
