Gathercole Nature Reserve

Gathercole Nature Reserve is located just outside of Wongan Hills and offers a short five-minute scenic walk to view some fascinating sculptured rocks. Visit during spring and you will also see the spectacular wildflowers on display. Further along the nature trail, you will get to explore the surrounding bushland and witness native animals in their natural surroundings. The reserve is teeming with wildlife and you will likely see the resident lizards basking in the sun on the rocks! The shady native trees provide a perfect setting for a picnic by the rocks. Gathercole Nature Reserve is a 10-minute drive east of Wongan Hills which is a two-and-a-half-hour drive north of Perth. It is a nature lover’s paradise with stunning countryside and spectacular walks such as Dingo Rock, Mount O’Brien and Mount Matilda.
