Description

With glorious views of Rosslyn Bay Harbour, the Keppel Bay islands and the Byfield Ranges - it would be a good idea to pack your camera for this walk. Located in the Double Head section of Capricorn Coast National Park, this trail is sometimes called the Double Head track. This steep sealed track takes you through shady vine thickets and sunny grasslands and features two scenic lookouts—Fan Rock and Rosslyn Bay. Enjoy views to the Keppel Bay islands and other volcanic plugs south along the coast from Fan Rock- a remnant of an old volcano. Spectacular views north to Yeppoon and the Byfield Ranges are on offer from the Rosslyn Bay Lookout. The walk is a moderate grade 3 track. It's a steep 700 metre hike that will take about 40 minutes to complete.
