Terrick Terrick National Park

Terrick Terrick National Park protects some of the last remaining native vegetation on Victoria’s northern plains, providing habitat for 31 flora species and 33 fauna species that are rare or threatened in Victoria. At the base of Mt Terrick Terrick are picnic tables, toilets and park information. Behind the picnic area is an unpowered campground which offers self-sufficient visitors the opportunity to enjoy the sunset from the summit of Mt Terrick Terrick, a short walk away, and wake to the sound of the park’s diverse birdlife. In spring, the woodlands around the camping and picnic areas are carpeted in wildflowers. No bins or water are provided, so please bring all the water you need and take your rubbish home for recycling or disposal. The walk to the summit of Mt Terrick Terrick is short but the summit is exposed, and the steep but reveals stunning 360-degree views over the surrounding woodland, farms and grassy plains. The area is popular for birdwatchers looking for grassland and farmland birds, including the endangered Plains-wanderer, a species of international conservation concern.
