Description
The Hume and Hovell Ultra is an ultrarunning event in Tumbarumba New South Wales that has attracted runners to the historic Hume and Hovell Track since 2012.
The event utilises the Hume and Hovell Walking Track, which follows the historic route taken by explorers Hume and Hovell in 1824. The course features a mix of single-track trails and fire roads, showcasing scenic natural attractions such as Mannus Lake and Paddys River Dam. This is the only ultra-distance trail running event held in the Riverina and one of a few trail running events in the region. This fast-growing sector offers ample opportunity for promoting the natural beauty of the Snowy Valleys and broader Riverina region, attracting both locals and visitors from interstate.
The Hume and Hovell Ultra offers several race distances: 22-kilometres, 50-kilometres, 100-kilometres and a kids race. There is also a team and relay option for the 20 and 100-kilometre races.
