Shine On Gimuy now in its third year will once again Shine a Light on the rich culture and biodiversity of Tropical North Queensland through an immersive and spectacular multi-arts light festival, led by the Artistic Director creative arts and festivals pioneer, Rhoda Roberts AO. Held along the glistening foreshore of tropical Gimuy/Cairns, the 2025 festival will bring the Gimuy waterfront to life as visitors once again experience the spectacular immersive ArtStory Light Walk the Calling Country Opening Ceremony; Concerts; Dance and Workshops. All free and accessible for all the family. As you wind your way through the spectacular light and music experience under the beautiful lush Gimuy trees. you will be find extraordinary art at our Black Markets created by our First Nations artisans from Tropical North Queensland and the Torres Strait. Come and join the celebrations all right in the heart of Cairns/Gimuy. Shine On Gimuy is produced by Queensland's Shine On Productions and is presented in partnership with Queensland Music Festival (QMF) as part of the QMF Tropics Trail.
