The Open Ledger Public Program

The Open Ledger is a free public program that invites people to photograph personal items that tell a story about their life, and display them in an open photographic record on the gallery walls of photo access. Working one-on-one with Kai Wasikowski over a one-hour session, participants can photograph and print a poster-sized collage of their personal items in a dedicated studio space at photo access to photograph and print a poster-sized collage of their personal items to take home. The sessions aim to give participants an opportunity to explore the language of photographic taxonomy and its potential to transmit personal stories. At the end of the session, a copy of the participants' print can be added to an evolving display that will remain on a wall of the photo access gallery for the duration of Wasikowski's exhibition The Bees and the Ledger.
