Join us for The Science of Movie Magic, where we pull back the curtain on the cutting-edge tech behind today's visual effects. From machine learning to virtual production, and the intricate VFX pipelines that make it all happen, our expert speakers will explore how science and storytelling collide on the big screen. Whether you're a film buff, tech enthusiast, or just curious about how it all works, this is your backstage pass to the future of filmmaking! We are pleased to announce our panellists are: Sarah Aristizabal (Junior 3D Pipeline Technical Director, Rising Sun Pictures) Sam Hodge (Senior Machine Learning Engineer, Australian Institute for Machine Learning, UofA) Jason Bevan (Associate Lecturer, Flinders University) ​ Please join us on Friday 2nd May at the Adelaide Irish Club . The event kicks off at 6:00 pm and will finish by approximately 7:30 pm. Doors will open at 5:30 pm. All drinks are to be purchased at the bar but guests are welcome to bring their own snacks/food. Attendance is free, but please register so we can advise the venue and set up the seating. We recommend arriving early to secure your preferred seating.
