Description
Rob Nansen from Jesse's Stump Blacksmithing and Bush Furniture is offering two workshops over the weekend. A Friday night taster or a weeklong workshop to explore blacksmithing in more detail.
A weekend of exploring blacksmithing. Including hammer and tong use, heating, shaping, bending, twisting and sharpening of steel, and beeswax/coconut oil finishes. Your will have the opportunity wo work on a suite of forged items from S-hook, cheese knife, fire poker and hardwood coat rack with hooks. Rob Nansen teaches blacksmithing to all ages and facilitates a friendly and creative space for newcomers to the craft. All forge equipment, materials and safety gloves and goggles provided. Participants are asked to wear long sleeves and pants and non-flammable clothing, with closed-toe shoes and long hair tied back.
