Marine and Freshwater Discovery Centre Summer Holiday Program

The Marine and Freshwater Discovery Centre is located on the shores of Swan Bay as you enter the township of Queenscliff. Indulge your curiosity these winter school holidays and discover some of the world’s most wonderful aquatic creatures at the Marine and Freshwater Discovery Centre in Queenscliff. This summer they are partnering with Coastcare Victoria to promote their ‘Summer by the Sea’ program, offering free snorkelling and canoeing activities. These need to be booked via the Summer by the Sea website. The Centre offers a unique place to visit, with an aquarium displaying both saltwater and freshwater Victorian species, as well as a rockpool where you can get up close to the animals (touch tank). They also encourage visitors of all ages to discover the amazing marine animals and plants that live in Swan Bay and Port Phillip Bay through activities such as Shore Snorkelling at Queenscliff Beach, Canoeing on Swan Bay and their unique Marine Biology Cruises on the bay.
