Goldfields Cyclassic

The Goldfields Cyclassic cycle races are owned by the Eastern Goldfields Cycle Club (EGCC) and the event is renowned nationally and globally. A range of riders are attracted to the Cyclassic event, from Pro-riders who live and work on their bikes to weekend enthusiasts, cafe riders and everyone in between. It is estimated that around 150 riders plus supporters and volunteers will come to the Goldfields for the June long weekend. It is a great opportunity for local businesses, companies and communities to be involved and put the Goldfields on the cycling map. Currently, the event runs over a two-day format with the Menzies Classic race being held on Saturday from Kalgoorlie to Menzies. 2024 saw the 95th running of this event and the Leonora Women's Classic. Riders, officials and spectators then enjoy a prize-giving dinner and overnight stay in Menzies. Sunday is the Leonora Golden Wheels and Leonora Women's Classic from Menzies to Leonora. The Sunday race finishes integrated with the Leonora Golden Gift running event and enhances the sporting experience in the Goldfields region.
