Queanbeyan-Palerang Heritage Festival

The Queanbeyan-Palerang Regional Council's Heritage Festival is held annually throughout April and May. The 2025 festival theme is Unearthed – revealing the past, bringing to light lesser-known histories and stories, and unearthing knowledge to empower younger generations as custodians of culture and tradition. QPRC works in conjunction with the National Trusts Australian Heritage Festival and the ACT Region Heritage Festival. Sharing the region's social and family histories to a broader audience has been the goal of this festival over the past 20 years. They have an exciting calendar of events coming for you in 2025, with some of the highlights of the Queanbeyan-Palerang Heritage Festival including: Watercolour Vistas – H.G. Lloyds Historic Landscapes from the State Library of NSW Museum Open Days Fake and Famous art exhibition at our 1862 Rusten House Art Centre Heritage Awards for building restorations and renovations in their LGA Heritage Workshops and Public talks across the region Heritage walking tours in Queanbeyan and Braidwood Heritage Art Awards The full program will be published online and in print, in late March.
