Narooma Oyster Festival

It's Australia's iconic oyster shellabration! Join growers, chefs and shuckers to celebrate the Rock Oyster at Narooma. Rock Oyster Week begins on April 26 in estuaries and eateries from the Shoalhaven River to Pambula Lake. Then all roads lead to Narooma from Friday May 2 to Sunday May 4 for the 18th Narooma Oyster Festival. The Friday Night Warm-Up is a night of oysters On Saturday, Farmers bring their best harvest to Oyster Farmers Alley and Australia's Biggest Oyster competition, and their best knives for the Australian Oyster Shucking Championships. Enjoy cosmopolitan and First Nations food, markets, live music and roving performers with celebrated wines, beers and spirits. Heard of merroir? Discover it with all your senses in the Ultimate Oyster Experience. For more indulgence, book the Rock Oyster Lounge, a Champagne Oyster Cruise or a Gin, Bubbles or Beer Masterclass. Guest chefs include Analiese Gregory (How Wild Things Are) from Tasmania, Al Brown (Go Fish, Stoked) from New Zealand, Narooma's Alan Newbold (Mr Bold) & Merivale's Clayton Wells, Courtney Roulston (Farm to Fork) and Corey Costelloe (20Chapel). On Sunday, join in Narooma's Biggest Breakfast with community legends! Buses from Merimbula, Batemans Bay and Bermagui on Saturday. Shuttle bus around Narooma all weekend.
