Part and Bach - Canticum Chamber Choir

Arvo Pärt's luminous and majestic "Te Deum" for choir and orchestra is framed by jubilant motets by JS Bach, including "Singet dem Herrn". Pärt's music resonates strongly with that of JS Bach despite the centuries that separate them. In this, Pärt's 90th birthday year, the 40th anniversary of the Te Deum, and the 30th anniversary of the founding of this acclaimed ensemble, Canticum celebrates with two composers close to its heart. One performance only on Sunday 1 June at 2pm in the glorious acoustic of St John's Cathedral, Brisbane. We warmly welcome Camerata - Queensland's Chamber Orchestra as our orchestra for this event, which is part of the 4MBS Festival of Classics 2025.
