Description

Marking the 15th anniversary of the Australian Centre on China in the World (CIW), Scenes from the Collection explores the vast and ever-changing landscape of the Chinese world, highlighting the diverse communities from the People's Republic of China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and the Chinese diaspora. Drawn from the art collections of CIW and ANU, the exhibition showcases a selection of rarely displayed paintings, prints, and photographic works. Artists include Gilbert Bel-Bachir, Graham Kuo, Lien Hui-Ling, Stanley O. Gregory, Zhang Peili, Jörg Schmeisser, Guan Wei, Mung Fei Wong, Tan Yifeng, John Young, and Zhao Zongzao. The Australian Centre on China in the World acknowledges the Drill Hall Gallery for their support of the exhibition and loan of works from the ANU Art Collection.
