Description

‘From Life’ is a collection of works by award-winning Tasmanian artist Rick Crossland. Rick Crossland was awarded the prestigious national AME Bale Travelling Scholarship and the AME Bale Award for Painting in Oils in 2022. This award enabled him to travel to Europe to focus on his portraiture and figurative studies. The exhibition includes portraits, figurative work and small plein-air studies from his travels. All work is for sale. The exhibition is located at the historic Lady Franklin Gallery, Lenah Valley, Hobart. This gallery is home to the Art Society of Tasmania where they hold monthly exhibitions featuring work by local Tasmanian artists. The exhibition is open Fri-Sun, 10am-4pm until 5th January 2025.
